Rocky Times in every way!
Heaven knows things have been desperately tough for the economy at large and our industry particularly. We have had to go through some painful restructuring of staff and capacity but remain stoic and keen to maintain our full range of services. To all of our existing clients and those we have yet to meet, we have adjusted all rates to try and help make the impossible possible and continue to provide the quality you expect in ways that are affordable and flexible.

We are pleased to have completed the recording and final masters for the forthcoming “Bopps” (Nickelodeon) album release due out on May 24th and wish the band and the Series every success ( 2 of The Bopps live here so we are biased).

LEP completes First ten episodes of Kai Lan
Little Entertainment Post completes the first ten episodes of a major new series for Nick Junior. This ground-breaking show mixes pre-school entertainment with snippets of Mandarin Chinese. The main challenge for this project was finding Mandarin speakers under the age of ten!

Little Entertainment Post completes long running English language course for Richmond Publishing. This involved voice direction and recording along with music creation and mastering for all six one hour long levels of the course.

LEP lands another corporate project
As part of its drive to obtain work in the corporate sector, Little Entertainment Post (LEP) has completed the voice recording for 2 educational DVDs. Contracted via The Edge Agency, LEP supplied a voice over artist to record 2 promotional DVDs for GL Assessment, who are a major supplier of tests and assessment procedures for schools across the UK and overseas. The DVDs will be used by GL Assessment for direct to market sales, as well as at conferences. LEP supplied voice talent, studio time with engineer/director and final voice edit.

Derek the sheep flocks to Gloucester
Long standing client Different Films has commissioned Little Entertainment Post (LEP) to supply voices for a 1 minute promo on a pilot of one of their latest projects entitled “Derek The Sheep”. Created by Gary Northfield, the character first appeared in the Beano in 2004 but can now be found in a range of books and even on line with his own blog, and if the pilot is successfully received, may lead to an animated series being produced. LEP supplied voice talent from its roster of experienced artistes and delivered final recordings.

Children's BAFTA nomination
For the third successive year the series LazyTown, which was reversioned by Little Entertainment Post (LEP) , has been shortlisted for the best international series category at the Children’s BAFTA award ceremony, which takes place later on this month. LEP completed the UK version of the 53 x 22’ series, which aired on both CBeebies and Nick Jr , as well as providing voice talent for the spin off series LazyTown Extra, which can currently be seen on the BBC.

Little people come to Gloucester
Little Entertainment Post (LEP) has been commissioned to produce the UK version on one of the latest Little People toys by Surrey based company So Sound.
LEP completed the UK English version of a set of 26 episodes of the series some time back, and since has been supplying UK voices on a range of toy products based on the series. In this specific case, original files were supplied to LEP and files length and style were matched with the UK cast, before editing and posted to our dedicated FTP site for subsequent download.

LEP back from MIPCOM
LEP have returned from MIPCOM with a confirmation of various new productions as well as a range of series for evaluation and quoting. Over 80 meetings were held at the Cannes based festival with potential offers of work of pre recording through reversioning to creation of entire sound tracks, in various genre of production. Ongoing details will be posted on this website as deal are agreed.

LEP helps care with confidence
As part of its initiative to office its full range of audio and audio related services to the public sector, LEP has been engaged by Leeds’ based company Care With Confidence to provide to record an session on the benefits of relaxation for the elderly. LEP supplied studio and editing facilities as well as direction, with the voice talent being provided by the client. LEP hope this will be the first of many projects it completes for the public sector.

LEP lands Henson project
LEP has concluded a deal with The Jim Henson Company to reversion a promotional episode of its current flag ship show entitled “Sid The Science Kid” for the forthcoming MIPCOM market. The 40 episode series has just launched on PBS and Henson’s are taking a sample UK episode to the market, with the aiming of landing a deal with a UK based broadcaster. LEP will undertake NTSC-PAL standards conversion, adaptation of script, voice recording, mix and layback for the LA based company.

LEP completes translation work for Luxanima
The latest company to take advantage of LEP’s in house translation service is long standing client Luxanima, who are about to start an animated feature and who required translation of various documentation relating to the production. This is not the first time Luxanima have used LEP’s translation service, with the script for their project Curly and Cuby being translated at LEP several years ago. LEP have also worked indirectly with Luxamima in the past, as they provided certain animation services on the Adi series for Teleimages Kids of Paris and which LEP dubbed into English.

LEP has a Giggle....
As part of its drive to provide its range of services to regional companies, LEP has been engaged by local production company The Giggle Group to provide studio services for one of its ongoing productions. This is the latest recording sessions in this ongoing relationship, with LEP providing studio time and director and export of final files in required format.

Bayard returns with ToTo
French production company Bayard Jeunesse has returned to LEP to complete promotional work for one of its latest series, ToTo . With the aim of promoting the series at the forthcoming MIPCOM market, Bayard commissioned LEP to translate, adapt, record and mix 3 of the 45 second episodes. This is the latest in a range of productions that LEP has completed for Bayard over the years, including both a UK and a US version of Little Brown Bear.

LEP dances to Cartoon Network Tune
LEP has continued its ongoing relationship with Cartoon Network with a dub of 8 x 10 minute episodes of a concept entitled Cartoon Network Dance Club. Bona fide UK based American voice talent was sourced and this live action series was dubbed into US style English. Furthermore, LEP completed any necessary Foley work required during the dance routines, and completed final mixes before shipping out directly to Germany, where the series is going to be initially shown.

Once Upon A Time, there was an Eco Show...
Long standing Paris based client Procidis (produced “Wild Instinct” for the BBC in 2001 with voices completed by LEP) has commissioned LEP to complete an American dub of a series of extracts for its series entitled “Once Upon A Time – Planet Earth”. The 26 minute compilation contained excerpts from 6 different episodes of the series, and will be used at the forthcoming MIPCOM market to leverage sales worldwide. LEP completed adaptation of the script into American English and dubbed the compilation, delivering back files in ProTools for subsequent mixing in Paris.

Get your LazyTown Extra!!
On the success of the original series of LazyTown (all 53 episodes were reversioned by LEP in between 2005 and 2007), the producers have created LazyTown Extra, a magazine style programme with part of each episodes including footage filmed in the countries where the original series has been sold. LEP has provided studio facilities and voice talent for promotional work that has been undertaken for Red Bee, and is also providing voice talent for an interactive concept and puppet links for the series to be recorded later on in the month. LazyTown Extra is currently scheduled to air on the BBC in mid September.

Backyardigans III reversioned by LEP
The UK English reversioning of the third set of 20 episodes of the CGI series entitled “The Backyardigans” has been completed by LEP. This latest set, currently airing on Nick Junior, takes the number of episodes completed by LEP to 60. LEP not only undertook creation of the UK version of the series, but also the final mix and layback, delivering final broadcast masters back to client, Nick Jr.

LEP goes In The Night Garden
BBC Audio books has engaged Little Entertainment Post (LEP) to convert material on In The Night Garden from DA-88 to DVD. This is the third time that the two companies have worked together in this way, and ties in with LEP’s attempts to broaden its range of services. In The Night Garden is produced by Ragdoll and can be currently seen on CBeebies.

LEP lands Lou
After many months of negotiation, Little Entertainment Post (LEP) is delighted to have reached agreement on supply the English voices on the series “Lou”, which is produced by Paris based company Go-N. The project consists initially of 2 episodes, that LEP will translate, adapt, and voice record, supplying voices back for the mix to be completed in Paris. The episodes in question will be submitted to the MIPCOM Junior festival in Cannes in October.

Let’s Jump For The Backyardigans
In recent summers, Nick Junior has produced its “Jump Up” stage extravaganza for kids, and this year is including a character from The Backyardigans. Little Entertainment Post (LEP) has supplied Nick Jr with a range of dialogue and tag lines for the character Pablo to be incorporated into the production, which is seen by 20000-25000 kids over the summer. Recording, editing and supplying the final lines were all completed in 24 hours, due to deadline requirements.

The Art of Voicing??
As part of Little Entertainment Post’s (LEP) diversification into new sectors, the company has supplied voicing services for an art exhibition in Bristol. 2 of LEP’s regular voice over artistes were engaged on the documentary style voice over and LEP supplied studio time and direction for the project producer. The exhibition is currently scheduled to take place over the summer.

Finley “toys” with LEP
Having successfully complete the UK reversioning of the series Finley the Fire Engine in 2007, Little Entertainment Post (LEP) is now supply a range of voices and sound effects for toy lines for the programme. Distribution company Entertainment Rights (ER) requested key phrases and effects to be supply by LEP for a subsequent Mattel toy deal. This is the latest in an increasing number of times that LEP has worked with both ER and Mattel, with LEP also supplying Mattel directly with UK versions on various cartoon properties.

Pinky Dinky Doo II heads to Little Entertainment Post
The first batch of elements for the creation of the UK English version of the second set of Pinky Dinky Doo has arrived at Little Entertainment Post (LEP). The second set of 52 x 11’ series, produced by New York’s Sesame Workshop, has been picked up by the BBC for broadcast on the CBeebies channel. LEP will complete the same tasks as on series 1, which it successfully completed last year, namely voice record, direction, mix and layback to Digi Beta master. Recordings are expected to start in June, and initially run through the summer.

Super delivery on SuperWhy
Little Entertainment Post (LEP) has delivered the first 13 episodes of the Nick Jr series SuperWhy ahead of schedule. Despite a large cast on the series, and having to undertake video work on certain episodes, LEP succeeded in delivery the first batch of the 65 x 22’ minute series some 2 weeks ahead of time. The series air on Nick Jr in June, and is the latest in a long line of reversionings completed for the UK based satellite broadcaster (including The Backyardigans, It’s A Big Big World and Magic Roundabout amongst others )

My Little Pony Set For Europe
Work is now well underway at Little Entertainment Post (LEP) on the localisation of a batch of new 7 x 4 minute episodes of My Little Pony. The new episodes are principally targeted for hosting on the internet, and toy co Hasbro has commissioned LEP to create and supply versions in French, German and Spanish. LEP is completing tasks from translation and adaptation of the final US script in the local language through casting, recording, mixing and layback, as well as supplying QuickTime files of final episodes for internet hosting and PAL-NTSC standards conversion of the final Digi Betas. This is the latest in a range of localisation projects that LEP has undertaken for Hasbro over recent years.

Noonbury episode reversioned at LEP
Fruit of from its attendance at the recent MIP-TV market, LEP has completed the UK reversioning of an episode of The Cookie Jar Company co-production entitled Noonbury. The 52 x 13’ episode series is a Canadian Korean coproduction, with an original Canadian voice track. Long standing LEP clients Cookie Jar (“Caillou”) approached LEP with an aim of reversioning an episode into British English for potential sales in the UK. LEP completed the adaptation of the original script, voice record, mix and layback.

LEP “toys” with Italian producer
As part of LEP’s drive into the Italian market, the Company has completed the rearrangement of a song in English for De Mas and Partners. Part of the “Special Toys” project, LEP were commissioned to undertake a new arrangement for the music to the “Who Knows Why?” song so that it had a more international feel and to adapt and supply the revised vocals in English. There is initial interest from Disney in the project. The project was due to be promoted at the Cartoons on the Bay festival in April.

LEP completes Molly The Monster
The final voice recording session of Molly The Monster has been completed at LEP. The 26 x 5’ show is a SluggerFilms production, and has reunited producer Micheal Eckblad again with the team at LEP some 8 years after working together on “Karlsson On The Roof”. Recording sessions have been split over 3 different sessions , with animation of the first episodes, voiced recorded back in November, now well advanced. LEP is also in early negotiations with SluggerFilms about supply effects and full mix of the series, in both stereo and 5.1 format.

LEP flies to the Magic Planet
Boutique French animation house La-Bel Anim has teamed up with LEP to supply voices on a promo for its new series “Magic Planet” that it is looking to launch at the forthcoming MIP-TV market. The 3 minute teaser charts the adventures of a group of friends as they solve adventures and riddles around the world. LEP supplied the original English voices on the pilot, which is tentatively inked to become a 52 x 13’ series if financing and production partners are found.

LEP “catches” new corporate client
Little Entertainment Post has completed work on the new British Pest Control Association (BPCA) online learning CD. Contacted by the agency Pod Communications, LEP not only supplied the studio facilities for the voice over for the online CD training CD, but also authored the 2500 CDs, including on disk printed labelling ,required by the BPCA for supply to its members. Offering CD duplication is one of an increased range of services that LEP can offer to clients in both the television and corporate sectors.

LEP goes corporate.....
As part of Little Entertainment Post’s expansion into supplying its range of services for the corporate world, the company has completed and delivered 5 minute promo for the Hyde Martlet construction company. Animation of the promo was completed by long standing LEP clients, Different Films, and LEP completed the original voices, original music, ADR and final mix, with overall co-ordination for the project through the Juice Too agency at Faringdon, who commented upon delivery:
“LEG people. Very impressed. your efforts have really lifted the entire piece.”

LEP lands another Italian deal
Italian based toy production company Clementoni has commissioned Little Entertainment Post (LEP) to supply narration for a new Teletubbies Leap Frog toy. Whilst this is not the first time LEP has been approached by Toy Manufacturers to supply voices for ancillary products (LEP has on going relationships with Mattel/Fisher Price and Hasbro amongst others) this is the first time that LEP has worked with Clementoni. LEP completed voices tests for the narration, and once chosen, undertook the voice over at its Gloucester studios, with remote client approval, before uploading final voices to its FTP site.

“Determined” LEP lands film project
Spanish production company, Baleuko, has commissioned Little Entertainment Post (LEP) to supply film of an interview of Scottish MSP, Kenneth Gibson, as part of a documentary on self determination for small nations to be broadcast in Spain. Logistics meant that representatives of Baleuko were unable to attend the filming, and so requested that LEP send a cameraman to Edinburgh to undertake the project, and supply final footage back next day via FTP. This is the first of many film projects that LEP is pursuing, as it continues with its diversification of services that can be offered to prospective clients.

SuperWhy comes to LEP
As part of the ongoing relationship between Nick Jr and LEP, agreement has been reached for LEP to undertake the UK English reversion of 65 episodes of the hit US series entitled SuperWhy. The series, which screens on PBS in the US, has high educational values, and aims to help kids with reading, writing and spelling skills through the adventures of 4 key characters. LEP will reversion the series using child talent from its troupe of rep actors, as well as completing mix, layback and video editing work to ensure that any overly American phrases on screen are replaced with UK equivalents.

LEP gets the “Italian Job”
As part of its diversification into new markets, Little Entertainment Post (LEP) has completed its first project Italy’s MAD Entertainment. The Milan based producer commissioned LEP to undertake a English dub of a pilot episode for a series entitled Blue Balloon. The series charts the adventures of 5 puppet friends who travel around Europe in a balloon, visiting key cities and engaging with well know characters from the relevant nation. LEP completed all aspects of the pilot episode from translation of the original script through to final mix and layback.

Lunar Jim II flies through the door
Little Entertainment Post has completed delivery of the Alliance Atlantis series Lunar Jim II to the BBC. The second series consisted of 40 new 10 minute episodes as Jim endeavours to solve a range of space mysteries with his faithful band of sidekicks. As with series 1, Little Entertainment Post undertook a complete reversion of the original series, together with final mix and lay back. The new series is scheduled to air on CBeebies in February 2008.

Ten Pin Alley rebranded as Little Entertainment Post
Following 18 years of trading under the name of Ten Pin Alley, the company will be rebranded as Little Entertainment Post as of 1st January 2008. Whilst always maintaining its trading independence, Ten Pin Alley has in effect been part of The Little Entertainment Group of Companies since 1998, and has been able to offer its full range of services on group productions as well as on third party work. However, in light of the success of the group’s production “The Roman Mysteries”, it was felt that the time was right to formalise the relationship between the range of companies within the group set up. This co-incides with the creation of a new DVD publishing company and music publishing company within the group, a drive to increase the range of services offered by Little Entertainment Post and a targeting of new markets and sectors for the company.

Robbie Highly Rated

Initial audience figures show that Robbie The Reindeer III – Close Encounters Of The Hurd Kind, received an audience share of about 28% during its broadcast on Christmas Day on BBC 1. The series, produced by Absolute Digital Productions for the BBC and Comic Relief has all effects, Foley and Final Mix completed by Ten Pin Alley, is the third of the Robbie specials for Comic Relief, and has been voiced by many well know contemporary television personalities. Work on the balance of the audio tracks was completed by Ten Pin Alley throughout November and delivered on time for the Leicester Square premier of the programme on 16th December.

Ten Pin Sings Clifford’s Tune
Ten Pin Alley has been asked to supply UK versions of the Clifford The Big Red Dog and Clifford Puppy Days theme tunes for usage on CBeebies radio. The company reversioned the Scholastic shows several years back for the BBC, and usage of the original themes for TV broadcast was permitted. This proved not to be the case for CBeebies radio, and so the songs were resung using Ten Pin Alley’s in house musicians. The series is scheduled for DAB broadcast in 2008.

Finley reversion truly “extinguished”
The 78th and final episode of the UK version of Finley The Fire Engine has been completed and delivered by Ten Pin Alley. The production is the largest series undertaken this year in terms of episodes by the company this year, and the replacement English voices have been recorded, mixed and laid back at a rate over 10 per month. This is the first time that we have worked with Balley Beg Productions, and the 8th project to be delivered to the BBC by the company in 2007.

Home Videos For Christmas
Ten Pin Alley has completed the remaining mixes and layback of reversioning on the National Geographic series entitled “Mama Mirabelle’s Home Video” for the BBC. The 52 x 10’ series airs on the CBeebies channel and has been produced by King Rollo Films. Reversioning has been ongoing for just over a year at Ten Pin’s studios in Gloucester, with iconic children’s presenter Floella Benjamin playing the lead role. Unlike other productions for the BBC, Ten Pin has just supplied studio capability, direction, final mix and layback with the voice talent being sourced and supplied by the BBC.

Ten Pin Alley completes EBU project
The latest EBU project - "Tom" - has now been finalised by Ten Pin Alley, with the final set of ADR completed and uploaded today. Actual pre-recordings on the 13 episode series started last September, and 3 batches of pick ups have been completed by Ten Pin Alley in recent months. Tom is the latest series completed by the company for Barcelona based producer Cromosoma, and also the most recent EBU project for which the company has supplied the original English voice track.

Ten Pin Alley Starts Music On Roman Mysteries - II
Having successfully completed the music for the first set of 5 x 1 hour programmes of BBC commissioned drama for children entitled The Roman Mysteries earlier on this year, Ten Pin Alley has started the work for the music for the second set of episodes. Based on the Caroline Lawrence books, this latest set of 5 x 1 hour shows have been filmed in Bulgaria and Malta. Roman Mysteries continues to be the largest drama commission to date from the BBC for this genre. Work on the incidental music for series 2 is scheduled to take between 3 and 4 months. Although the in house composers at Ten Pin have created music for other series, this is the first time they have worked on a live action drama. The first series was aired in May 2005 on BBC1, though a broadcast date for series 2 has yet to be fully established.

Magic Roundabout Launches on Nick Jr
The new series of the iconic show, The Magic Roundabout, with voices pre-recorded at Ten Pin Alley, launches today on Nick Jr. Produced by Silver Fox Films, the 52 x 10 series has been voiced over a series of sessions at the studio over recent months, with Ten Pin Alley providing not only voice talent and its co-ordination for the series, but also a range of web phrases and tag lines for promotional spots.

CHILDREN BAFTA NOMINATIONS
For the 4th successive year, a series that Ten Pin Alley has worked on has been nominated for a BAFTA award. LazyTown has been put forward for the coveted award in the 2007 International Category, and hopes to repeat its victory of 2006, when it triumphed over, amongst others, Harry and His Bucketful of Dinosaurs, that has also been reversioned by Ten Pin Alley. In 2005, International Category winner Jakers! - The Adventures of Piggley Winks and nominee Miss Spider and the Sunny Patch Kids were also reversioned by our studio, and the 2004 nomination Xcalibur had its original English voices recorded with us.

Happy Times For Happy Valley
Ten Pin Alley has just concluded its first project with Welsh broadcaster S4C on the animated series entitled Happy Valley. Produced initially in Welsh by Cardiff based production house Dinamo, this 20 x 5 pre school animated series included a song in each episode that had to be faithfully recreated in English by school children. Not only did Ten Pin create the UK English voices for the series, but also supplied final mix and layback. International sales are being handled by S4C International, and the series will be promoted at the forthcoming MIPCOM market.

Harry and His Dinosaurs Go To The Theatre
As well as providing the reversioning of the second series of 52 episodes of Harry and His Bucketful of Dinosaurs, Ten Pin Alley has also supplied recording facilities for the voice talent to record their roles for the forthcoming theatrical version of the series. Produced by Premier Productions, Harry hits the stage in February 2008, embarking on a UK tour that takes him through until the Autumn. The UK version of the current series is well advanced, with 26 episodes having already been delivered to 5 and Disney and the balance scheduled to ship before Christmas 2007.

New Nick Jr shows for Ten Pin Alley
Initial agreement has been between Nick Jr (UK) and Ten Pin Alley to create UK English versions for 2 of the broadcasters latest acquisitions.

Toot and Puddle is a 45 minute special based on the books written by Holly Hobbie. Animated by Grand Slamm Children Films and broadcast on Nat Geo US, the special entitled I Will Be Home For Christmas is a precursor for a 52 episode series that is scheduled for 2008 in the UK.

It Is A Big Big World is a 3 Kids and a Dog production which has been aired on PBS Kids and is a concept that puts kids in touch with nature and the enviroment. This 40 episode series is scheduled for airing in the UK in Spring 2008, and Nick Jr have commissioned a UK version of the series from Ten Pin Alley.

TEN PIN ALLEY LANDS PINKY DINKY DOO REVERSION
Work is continuing apace at Ten Pin Alley on the reversion the Sesame Workshop production Pinky Dinky Doo. The 52 x 10 minute series is scheduled for an initial run this summer on CBeebies. The production raises certain scheduling challenges given that the vast majority of the UK cast are actual kids, but the studio is confident that delivery deadlines will be successfully met.
